
Aaron Sabato Earns Second Midwest League Player of the Week Honor

Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids Kernels first baseman Aaron Sabato has been named Midwest League Player of the Week for July 25-31. Sabato went 7-for-21 at the plate and led the league in home runs (4), runs scored (10), RBI (11), extra-base hits (6), slugging (1.000) and OPS (1.500) while landing second in total bases (21) as the Kernels took four of six from Wisconsin. The honor is the second of 2022 for the Twins' No. 13 prospect.
Drafted by the Twins in the first round of the 2020 MLB Amateur Draft, Sabato is slashing .226/.347/.453 for an .800 OPS this season with 12 doubles, 16 home runs and 54 RBI.
