Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release

The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, proud affiliates of the Florida Panthers and San Antonio Rampage, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Monday that forward Aaron Lee has been named the Oakley CHL Player of the Week.

Lee turned in a nine point week helping the Bees to a 2-1-0 record and stay in the playoff hunt. The biggest game of the week for Lee came Wednesday as Lee poured in six points, two goals and four assists. The following Friday Lee struck for two more goals and another assist.

This season Lee has been one of the offensive leaders for the Bees and his 25 goals tie a career high.

Historically Lee has been one of the Bees best and his 243 games are the most all-time by a Killer Bee. His 84 goals are second in franchise history as are his 85 assists and 169 points. Lee is the franchise leader in game winning goals at 15.

Lee is the second Bee to be honored this season as Tomas Klempa took home Oakley CHL Player of the Week honors earlier this season.

The Killer Bees are in action tomorrow night against the Laredo Bucks at 7:00 p.m. at the State Farm Arena. Tickets are on sale by calling 843-7825 or visiting killerbeehockey.com.
