Kinston Indians News Release
Kinston starting pitcher Kelvin De La Cruz pitched six innings of no hit ball for the K-Tribe last night, walking just one batter while striking out four (early season pitch counts forced his removal). It was the first no hit performance for a K-Tribe starter since Keith Ramsey pitched a nine inning perfect game on the final day of the 2004 season, a 6-0 victory at Myrtle Beach on September 6th of 2004. Ramsey's performance was the last perfect game pitched in the Carolina League.
