
\'Sharks Dropped Game One To Bridgeport

CAMDEN, NJ- The Camden Riversharks fell to the Bridgeport Bluefish with a score of 4-1. Luis Gonzalez walked away with the win in tonight's game while Ben Davis suffered the loss. Bridgeport's Jorge Julio earned the save for the visitors, his 20th this season.
The Bluefish started the scoring early with two runs in the top of the first. Tike Redman advanced to first on an error followed by Steve Moss with a double. The first run was scored on an RBI single by Josh Phelps. Moss was the next batter up and was able to cross home plate during Hiram Bocachica's at bat.
The Riversharks answered back to cut the deficit in half at the bottom of the frame. Juan Francia led off the inning with a walk, stole second, and scored on another walk given to Chris Malec, making the score 2-1.
The âSharks were scoreless for the remainder of the game, scoring their solo run in the first.
Two more runs were scored for Bridgeport, one in the fourth and another in the seventh to give them the 4-1 advantage and the win in tonight's matchup.
