
\'Dogs make eight-player deal with Outlaws

Richmond, VA - The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League made an eight player trade with the Kansas City Outlaws today. The âDogs acquired forward Bill Zalba, defensemen Simo Pulkki and Mike Dombkiewicz, the UHL rights to Mike Lankshear, and the Outlaws second round pick in the 2005 North American Draft in exchange for defensemen Dan Rohanna, Jami Yoder, and Matt Suderman, and the UHL rights to Jay Murphy.
Dombkiewicz is a pro rookie with nine points in 27 games with the Outlaws. He also has 75 shots on goal. He played Canadian university hockey following a solid major junior career in the OHL. Pulkki, a native of Finland, had three points in 17 games with Kansas City. Zalba, another rookie, had 14 points in 28 games this season with the Outlaws. Lankshear, like Murphy, is not currently an active player.
The Dogs have also re-activated Anthony DiPalma. He had two points in six games with the âDogs earlier this season.
The RiverDogs return from a seven game road trip tonight vs. Elmira at 7:35 PM. The âDogs are also home for a Family 4Pak night, Sunday, December 26 at 3:05 vs. Adirondack. Richmond hosts Danbury New Year's Eve at 8:05. There will be a party featuring the band Solar Coaster with âDogs players on hand following the game. Saturday, January 15 is Pack the Pound Night with free t-shirts for all fans. Saturday, January 22 NASCAR driver and 2004 Rookie of the Year Kasey Kahne will be on hand.
