Game Two of Doubleheader Suspended for Fireworks; RailCats Drop

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. - The RailCats fell 6-5 in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday night and lead 3-0 in game two, which was suspended after six innings.
Game two was suspended at 10:30 ET in order to allow the Jackals to shoot off fireworks without violating the city's noise ordinance. The game will resume in the top of the seventh inning at 1:05 Central time on Sunday, and will be followed by the series finale.
Brian Kolb hit a two-out RBI single in the first inning and Ryan Babineau followed with a two-run double off the wall in right to give the RailCats a 3-0 lead in game one.
Mike Massaro hit an RBI triple in the second and Mike Coles drove him home with a single to make it 5-0. Each of the RailCats first five runs scored with two out. They chased Jackals starter Steve Fox, who entered the game with a 2.41 ERA, from the game after four innings. He allowed five runs on eight hits.
Chris Henderson hit a solo shot to right in the third inning off of RailCats starter Stephen Hiscock. Carlos Guzman drove in a run with a single in the fourth inning and Francisco Caraballo hit a two-out, two-run homer in the fifth to trim the 'Cats lead to 5-4.
In the seventh and final inning, Chris Allen came on in relief seeking his sixth save of the season. With a runner at second and two out, Francisco Caraballo hit a single to right to tie the game at five and send it to extra innings.
The Jackals won the game in the tenth inning on Henderson's RBI single.
Marco Gonzalez (2-2) took the loss while Jeff Gogal (5-1) threw three scoreless innings for the win. RailCats starter Stephen Hiscock gave up four runs in five innings in a no-decision.
Mike Massaro singled and came around to score on a wild pitch in the first inning of game two. Brian Kolb hit a sac fly in fourth and Mike Rohde followed with an RBI double to make it 3-0. RailCats starter Jon Gulbransen threw five scoreless innings and struck out six.
The RailCats starting pitcher for the series finale will be right-handed pitcher Morgan Coombs (3-5, 5.46).
