80's/90's Throwback Concert At Campanelli Stadium

Brockton, Mass. - Campanelli Stadium is set to host the 80's/90's Throwback Concert on Saturday, September 8, headlined by the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop trio, Salt-N-Pepa, and the "King of Freestyle", Stevie B. The night will be hosted by Blu Cantrell and will feature Austin Brown, nephew of the late Michael Jackson. The event will begin at 7 p.m., while gates will open at 6 p.m.

"This is a fantastic venue to see a live show," said Michael Canina, President of the Brockton Rox and The Shaw's Center. "We are very excited to be able to host this great concert."

"This event is a celebration of fun music," said Sydney Devon, a National Brand Development Executive for THECOOLTV. "It's sure to be a nostalgic night of fun."

Salt-N-Pepa, one of first all-female rap groups, burst onto the scene in 1985 and has been performing for over 20 years. Best known for their smash hits "Push It", "Shoop", "Whatta Man", Salt-N-Pepa won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group with the song "None of Your Business" in 1995.

Stevie B, also known as the "King of Freestyle", is a singer, songwriter, and record producer from Miami, Fla. who has been performing since 1987. His hit song, "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)", topped the charts for four weeks in 1990 as the number one song on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Blu Cantrell, a native of Providence, R.I., will be the host of the Throwback Concert and will also be performing some of her greatest hits. In 2001, her debut album, So Blu, saw major success when it peaked at number eight on the U.S. Billboard 200 . The album's hit single "Hit 'em Up Style (Oops!) ", peaked at number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 .

Austin Brown, an up-and-coming R&B singer from California, is the youngest child of Rebbie Jackson and the nephew of the late Michael Jackson. He will be releasing his debut album, Highway '85, later this year.
