Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa, ON.): The Ottawa 67's today announced the signing of their top pick from the 2012 OHL Priority Selection Draft (18th overall), centre Dante Salituro of the Don Mills Flyers. 15-year-old Salituro, a right-hand shot, will join other 67's rookies at the team's orientation camp, June 2nd and 3rd at the University of Ottawa.

"We're looking forward to seeing Dante on the ice at the orientation camp," said 67's Head Coach and General Manager Chris Byrne. "He was a big point producer in Minor Midget AAA and we're very pleased to have him under contract and to be able to start working with him in a couple of weeks."

At 5' 9" and 170 lbs, the swift-skating Salituro was an elite offensive player with the Flyers last season, scoring 47 goals and adding 44 assists in only 30 games. "I'm thrilled to be part of the team and the 67's organization," said Salituro. "And I'm already excited about arriving in Ottawa for the orientation camp and the coming season."
