Ottawa 67's News Release
OTTAWA - A trio of Ottawa 67's players were honoured by the Ontario Hockey League on Friday, as the league announced that forward Marco Rossi was recognized as the League's Eddie Powers Trophy recipient, as the OHL's top scorer for the 2019-2020 regular season. Ottawa's goaltending tandem made up of Cedrick Andree and Will Cranley was also awarded the Dave Pinkney Trophy for holding the League's lowest goals against.
Rossi finished first among all OHL players with a total of 39 goals and 81 assists, combining for 120 points in only 56 games. This impressive total was added to Rossi's productive rookie season last year of 29 goals, 36 assists for 65 points in 53 games. The Austrian now has 185 total points in 109 OHL career games, which gives the young 2020 NHL Draft prospect an already very impressive resume.
For a second straight season, the Ottawa 67's goaltending tandem is the recipient of the Dave Pinkney Trophy, which makes it two straight years for Cedrick Andree as well. Andree and Will Cranley both had stellar seasons between the pipes for the Barber Poles. The pair only allowed 164 goals this past year, which is the lowest in the OHL by a fair margin. Both goalies combined for a 2.60 GAA, .907 SV%, 50-11-0-1 record and 8 shutouts over 62 games.
