67's Kevin Bahl Invited to Team Canda's National Junior Team Selection Camp
December 2, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) - Ottawa 67's News Release
OTTAWA - Hockey Canada announced on Monday afternoon the roster of players that will be attending Team Canada's National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp, and among those players is 67's towering defenseman Kevin Bahl.
This won't be the first time that Bahl gets the opportunity to represent the red and white maple leaf, as the 6''7, 240 pound defenseman played for Team Canada Red at the 2016-2017 under-17 World Hockey Challenge , as well as for the 2018 under-18 tournament. Bahl also won gold with Team Canada at the 2017 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup. In 26 games thus far this season, Bahl has totaled 20 points (5G, 15A) and a +/- rating of +19, on top of being one of the better defensemen in his own zone in the OHL.
Canada's top junior talent will be in Oakville, Ontario from December 9th to 12th for Canada's National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp ahead of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship. Once a final roster is named, the 2020 World Junior Championship will be held in the Czech Republic from December 26th until January 5th.
