67's Acquire Draft Pics from Owen Sound in Exchange for D Teddy Sawyer

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's acquired a pair of draft picks on Thursday as the club traded defenceman Teddy Sawyer to the Owen Sound Attack.

In exchange for the 18-year-old blueliner, the 67's will receive a third-round draft pick (previously held by Windsor) in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft, and Owen Sound's second-round choice in 2026.

Sawyer was drafted by Ottawa in the third round (62nd overall) in 2019. The Columbus, Ohio native has played in 92 regular season games for the Barber Poles, scoring six times and adding 12 assists.

The 67's will kick off the 2022-2023 regular season on Friday night when they visit the Oshawa Generals. The Barber Poles will open their home schedule at TD Place on Sunday afternoon against the Erie Otters.
