
66ers score win over Wizards in overtime

TULSA, Okla., April 1, 2007 - Tulsa's fourth game in five days resulted in a third win, as they beat the Dakota Wizards 115-107 in overtime Sunday afternoon at Expo Square Pavilion.
The 66ers (20-26) had three players finish with double-doubles, led by Frans Steyn's career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. Jean Felix had 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Will Conroy finished with 10 points and a game-high 13 assists. Desmon Farmer led Tulsa in scoring with 31 points. Marcus Vinicius, on assignment from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, poured in 28 points.
The Wizards (28-16) still remain atop the Eastern division standings. They were led by Renaldo Major's 24 points and 11 rebounds. Corey Williams scored 20 points, while former 66er Quemont Greer chipped in with 16 points.
"I think both teams played really well today. We beat the Eastern division leader and I think that says something about our team," said Tulsa head coach Joey Meyer. "Steyn had a great night and Vinicius made some key shots for us."
Tulsa was outrebounded by Dakota 53-48. The Wizards were 42 percent from the pine, compared to Tulsa's 48 percent.
Tulsa will host the Austin Toros next Friday, April 6, for the home closer of the 2006-07 season. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Expo Square Pavilion. The first 1,066 fans will receive a wind-up toy, courtesy of Crown Bristow. To show the 66ers' appreciation, all fans will be registered to win various prizes throughout the evening, including authentic Hornets affiliate jerseys, worn by the Tulsa players.
