Tulsa, Okla., December 9, 2009 - The Tulsa 66ers announced today a double-header matchup scheduled for Friday, Dec. 18, that will have Booker T. Washington face East Central High School in a boys varsity regular season game, prior to the 66ers versus Rio Grande Valley Vipers game at the Tulsa Convention Center.
"This is a great event and venue for the student-athletes, and we are excited to be involved with this," Tulsa Public Schools Director of Athletics Stephanie Spring said. "Opportunities like this don't happen all the time and we are thrilled that Booker T. and East Central can be a part of the 66ers experience."
The high school game will tip off at 5:45 pm, which will shift the original tip off time for the 66ers contest from 7 pm to following the high school action.
"We are thrilled to host the Hornets and Cardinals game at the Tulsa Convention Center," 66ers President Jim Brylewski said. "We hope that both teams are excited to play where the professionals play, and we're happy to provide a great value to our fans, with the chance to see both games for the price of one ticket."
Ticket specials will be available at each participating school through the 66ers front office, by calling 918-585-8444 or emailing to info@tulsa66ers.com.
