LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will return home for a four-game series at Cashman Field, beginning on Friday, Aug. 15, at 7:10 p.m. against the Portland Beavers, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The brief home stand will feature night games at 7:10 p.m. on Saturday and Monday, Aug. 16 and 18 and Sunday, Aug. 17, at 12:30 p.m.

The 51s are currently on a season-long 12-game road trip that began on Saturday, Aug. 2 at New Orleans. Las Vegas then traveled to Tucson (Aug. 7-10) and the last leg of the trip at Memphis. The road trip concludes tomorrow night at AutoZone Park.

Las Vegas, with the third best record in the PCL at 66-56 (.541), is in second place in the South Division and trail the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland A's, by 11 games. Sacramento has the best record in the league with a 78-46 (.629) mark. Las Vegas and Sacramento will meet nine more times (Aug. 19-23 at Sacramento and Aug. 29 - Sept. 1 at Cashman Field).

The ZOOperstars return to Cashman Field by popular demand on Saturday night.

The ZOOperstars are the most hilarious mascot entertainment act in all of baseball. The game will also feature the final Carl's Jr. Family Night of the season. The Carl's Jr. deal, for just $24.95, features four choice reserve seats, four Carl's Jr. Famous Star value meals, two authentic 51s baseball hats, 51s t-shirt and one Cosmo mini-bobble head doll. Following the brief home stand, the 51s will embark on their final road trip of the season. The trip will feature 10 games, five each at Sacramento (Aug. 19-23) and Fresno (Aug. 24-28).

Tim Neverett, who broadcasts selected 51s home games and is the radio play-by-play announcer for UNLV football, will fill-in for 51s broadcaster Russ Langer for six games of the trip from Tuesday-Sunday, Aug. 19-24.

Langer, the 51s Director of Broadcasting, will become a part of the Montreal Expos radio team for six games. Langer will call the action for the Expos for the three-game series at Los Angeles (Aug. 19-21) and San Diego (Aug. 22-24).
