KALAMAZOO, MI -  The Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association in conjunction with the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Team is proud to carry on "keeping the blues alive" in presenting the 2020 Kalamazoo Blues Festival. The 27th annual festival will take place Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22 at Homer Stryker Field, home of the Kalamazoo Growlers Baseball Team, located in Mayor's Riverfront Park, 251 Mills St., Kalamazoo, MI.  Last year's lineup featured an array of well known artists including Danielle Nicole, Davy Knowles, Dwayne Burnside and local area favorites like Kev Nichols and Blue Tuesday, Crossroads the Resurrection and Big Trouble.

This two day celebration of blues music, culture, and history was first staged in 1994 making it one of the longest running festivals in Kalamazoo. The Kalamazoo Blues Festival is a true community event which includes volunteers and is supported by local groups, businesses and arts organizations. The festival has won recognition from performers and attendees alike as "the best blues festival in the Midwest".

Homer Stryker field with the Kalamazoo Growlers is a great outdoor venue for community events. They provide a built-in facility including a large park with grand stand seating or bring your own lawn chairs, a wide array of food options, concessions, children's playground area, restroom facilities, on-site parking, and more. KVBA will provide the blues music we know and love.

Stay tuned for announcements regarding the lineup. Tickets will go on sale early spring.

Volunteer opportunities will be available for a variety of areas including beer tent and hospitality.
