June 7, 2023 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Sioux Falls Stampede News Release

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Sioux Falls Stampede Hockey Club and the United States Hockey League announced the 2023-24 regular season schedule today. For the first time since the 2019-20 season, the schedule will include games against Eastern Conference teams, meaning the Stampede will play all 15 teams at least twice during the season. The league schedule begins on September 20 and ends on April 13.

The 25th Anniversary Season will consist of 62 USHL regular-season games. The season will officially kick off at the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh, Penn., Sept. 20-24 with the Herd playing two games. Dates and opponents will be announced at a different date.

Sioux Falls will then travel to Urbandale, Iowa on Sept. 30 to face the Des Moines Buccaneers. The club will then open the home portion of its schedule on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the PREMIER Center when it hosts the Waterloo Black Hawks at 6:05 p.m. That game will officially kick-off the 25th anniversary season.

The Herd will get to see a lot of the current Anderson Cup Champions, the Fargo Force, this season with ten games on the docket (five home, five away), including three games against the I-29 foes over eight days in early February. Heading south down I-29, the Stampede will face the Sioux City Musketeers a total of eight times (four home, four away). The Herd will take on the Lincoln Stars, Omaha Lancers and Tri-City Storm six times each (three home, three away) while facing the Des Moines Buccaneers and Waterloo Black Hawks four times each (two home, two away).

New this season, the Herd will also face Eastern Conference teams, hosting the Green Bay Gamblers, Muskegon Lumberjacks and Team USA (each twice) while traveling to Chicago, Madison and Youngstown for a pair of games at each. The team will also play Cedar Rapids and Dubuque once at home and once on the road.

Some of the home highlights include games the day before and after Thanksgiving as well as a final home game before the winter break on Dec. 16 against Fargo. The club will also host its annual New Year's Eve game on Dec. 31. The busiest month at home is February when the club will host six games before heading on the road for the majority of March due to arena availability at the PREMIER Center. The Stampede will once again close out the regular season on home ice when they host the Fargo Force on Saturday, April 13.

Also on the Stampede schedule this year is the 2024 Frosty Cup in Dallas, Texas Jan. 25 and 26. For the first time in franchise history, the Herd will attend the tournament and host the Dubuque Fighting Saints for one game and be the visitors on the scoreboard for another. The Frosty Cup is a premier youth hockey event played at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas and is hosted by the Dallas Stars. More information regarding the tournament will be made available closer to the event.

Game times and a promotional schedule will be made available at a later date. Single-game tickets for all home games will go on sale in September but fans are encouraged to reach out to the Stampede team and make reservations for groups, birthdays, suites, our exclusive sections, and the Cosand Construction Party Pit.
