2019 TinCaps Opening Day Tickets on Sale for Holidays

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Tickets for the Fort Wayne TinCaps' 2019 Opening Day at Parkview Field will be on sale from Nov. 21-Dec. 31. The TinCaps begin their 11th season in Downtown Fort Wayne on Thursday, April 4, when they host the Lansing Lugnuts (Toronto Blue Jays affiliate) with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.

Fans can purchase their 2019 TinCaps Opening Day tickets online at TinCapsTickets.com and at The Orchard Team Store at Parkview Field. With tickets starting at just $6, they make for a fun and easy gift.

The Orchard Team Store has extended hours for the holidays, including being open until 8 p.m. on weeknights and until 6 p.m. on Saturdays in December. As part of The Orchard's seasonal deals, fans have a chance to enter-to-win four (4) tickets plus the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day. The Orchard also has special deals for fans shopping on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and more. Opening Day at Parkview Field will feature the first of 30 postgame fireworks shows at Parkview Field in 2019. "Thirsty Thursday™" means $1 domestic draft beers and other drink specials.

The TinCaps enter the 2019 season as the San Diego Padres' Class A, Midwest League affiliate. MLB.com and Baseball America rank the Padres' farm system as the best in baseball, so Fort Wayne figures to once again have a roster stacked with some of the best young prospects in baseball. Since joining the Midwest League in 1993, a total of 172 Fort Wayne players have reached the big leagues, including 2018 MLB All-Star pitchers Corey Kluber (Cleveland Indians) and Miles Mikolas (St. Louis Cardinals).

Parkview Field has been rated as the No. 1 Minor League Baseball Ballpark Experience four of the past five years by Stadium Journey. The TinCaps, who earned MiLB's President's Award for overall organizational excellence in 2016, were recognized by Ballpark Digest this year with the Continued Excellence Award for the organization's success over the past decade.
