2019 Arizona Rattlers Week 10 Game Preview

Phoenix - The Arizona Rattlers (7-0) wrap up their three-game road trip with their last regular season matchup against their heated rival, the Sioux Falls Storm (6-1). This contest will feature the two highest scoring offenses in the Indoor Football League. The Rattlers lead the IFL with an average of 64.4 points per game, while the Storm are currently tied for second with 51.4.

This will be Arizona's first trip to the Denny Sanford Premier Center since April of last season where the Rattlers came out with a 48-40 victory. These two teams previously played on March 31 at Talking Stick Resort Arena where the Rattlers bested the Storm 58-40.

The Rattlers have now pushed their winning streak to seven games with a 52-14 victory over the San Diego Strike Force on Monday night. This was also Arizona's first-ever trip to the city of San Diego in 27 years as a franchise.

QB Jeff Ziemba led the passing attack for the Rattlers completing 11-of-20 passes for 152 yards and one touchdown (no turnovers). Over the last three games, Ziemba has tossed 10 touchdown passes and has yet to commit a turnover. Making his season debut for Arizona, RB Roland Genesy Jr. carried the ball 12 times for 75 yards and three touchdowns. He also added two catches for 31 yards.

WR Jarrod Harrington and WR Sheldon Augustine continued to make plays on the outside for the Rattlers. Against the Strike Force, Harrington hauled in seven catches for 95 yards and one touchdown, while Augustine finished with two receptions for 45 yards and one 29-yard touchdown grab. Harrington also added three kickoff returns for 58 yards while Augustine had one return for 23 yards.

Meanwhile, the Sioux Falls Storm are coming off a 36-32 victory over the Iowa Barnstormers last weekend which handed Iowa their first loss of the season.

QB Lorenzo Brown Jr. passed for two scores and added 61 yards on the ground for one touchdown. RB Calen Campbell added one rushing touchdown while WR Brandon Sheperd and WR Kent Shelby each caught a touchdown pass. Shelby's touchdown reception came in the final seconds of the fourth quarter and helped propel the Storm to their sixth victory.

The Arizona Rattlers defensively did not allow a single point in the second half versus San Diego. LB Ricky Wyatt Jr. continued his strong season on Monday as he accumulated 1.5 sacks and three tackles for loss. DL Chris McAllister and DL Connor Flagel each added one sack as well. DB Dillion Winfrey added a career-high two interceptions (one for a touchdown) and DB Allen Chapman also had an interception. Chapman has three interceptions this season, which is fourth in the IFL. The Rattlers currently lead the league with 13 interceptions and 16 sacks thus far.

The Storm's defensive unit held the Barnstormers to only 12 points in the second half last weekend. DL Claude Davis led the Storm with one sack and two tackles for loss, while DB Trey Wafford added two tackles for loss and a forced fumble. They forced two fumbles versus Iowa, both of which were recovered by DB Rick Rumph.

Arizona's second matchup of the season against the Sioux Falls Storm is slated for a 5:05 p.m. AZT kickoff and can be streamed live on YouTube.
