2019-20 Playoffs and 2020 Memorial Cup Cancelled
March 23, 2020 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
The QMJHL/CHL announced today the cancellation of the 2019-20 Playoffs and 2020 Memorial Cup in Kelowna.
We understand that we are all disappointed, especially with most of our players getting their first opportunity to experience post-season action. We will surely be even hungrier when hockey resumes next season.
For our three overage players, Nicholas Deakin-Poot, Zachary Bouthillier, and Jeffrey Durocher, this marks the end of their junior hockey career. We wish nothing but success to these three outstanding young men and know they will excel in their next endeavors.
We urge everyone to stay safe, stay home and consult with New Brunswick Public Health as we continue to work together.
