2018-19 Season in Review: Zak Irvin
NEW YORK, NY - Zak Irvin rejoined the Westchester Knicks on December 6, 2018 after competing with Abejas de Guanajuato of the Mexican LNBP in international play. In his second season with the Knicks, Irvin was the club's leading rebounder while shooting the best of any other player.
Irvin started 30 of the 32 contests he appeared in averaging 11.8 points and a team-leading 8.6 rebounds. The hybrid forward shot 56.7-percent from the field besting his teammates. Irvin drained 60-percent of his shots or better 13 times this season. Moreover, he scored in double-figures 22 times including a career-high 25-point performance against Long Island (2/9). He has totaled eight double-double performances.
Irvin's activity on the boards resulted in 14 instances of double-digit rebounding. His career-high stands at 15 which came against the Sioux Falls Skyforce (1/26) that included a season-high five offensive boards rebounds.
Irvin sustained a lower back strain against Lakeland (2/24) exiting after 20 minutes of play. After being sidelined for five games, Irvin scored in double-figures for the next four contests which included the franchise's first playoff victory. That showing also accompanied a 14-rebounding effort.

Irvin concluded the postseason tied for third in the NBA G League with 11.0 rebounds per game.
