2018-19 Season in Review: Paul Watson
NEW YORK, NY - Paul Watson upped his regular season averages this season with the Westchester Knicks while appearing in more games, playing more minutes and being a primary starter for the club.
Of the 50 regular season games Watson has suited up for, he started 42 of them, logging the most minutes of any Knicks player this season. Scoring 8.2 points per game, Watson shot the ball at 43.8-percent from the field and 34.5-percent from downtown.
Watson totaled 53 assists and elevated for 28 blocks both besting his numbers from last year.
The forward registered a pair of double-doubles in a five-game span. Against Capital City (2/12) Watson scored a career-high 25 points, 15 of which came from a career-high five triples. He shot 64.3-percent from the floor and battled for a career-matching 10 boards, including two on the offensive glass.
Four games later at Greensboro (2/28) Watson was perfect from two-point territory during a 20-point performance while also collecting 10 rebounds. He also tallied a rejection.
Watson scored double-figures on 22 occasions that included two in the postseason. In two playoff games, Watson averaged 10.0 points.
Defensively, Watson tied his career-high three blocks three times this season and set another career-best with four thefts against Memphis (1/25).
Watson sits second in franchise history with 339 defensive rebounds, second in three-pointers made (99), second in games played (95), third in minutes played (2741) and sixth in rebounds (396).
