DENVER - The 2014 MLL Champion Denver Outlaws' 14-game 2015 schedule was announced by Major League Lacrosse on Thursday. The slate for the club's 10th Anniversary MLL season includes seven home games that will be played at Sports Authority Field at Mile High and seven road games.
The Outlaws will play games on one Thursday, one Friday, and seven Saturdays in addition to five Sunday contests in 2015. This year's schedule, which MLL moved up two weeks this season, includes a Denver bye scheduled for Week 3 of the season. Game times and broadcast schedules have not yet been released.
Denver opens its season on the road for the fourth consecutive season when the Outlaws travel to Boston to face the Cannons on Sunday, April 12. The Outlaws will play four of their first five games on the road this season, with contests against the Cannons, Machine, Rattlers, and Launch on the road during that stretch.
The Outlaws host the Hounds for their home opener at Sports Authority Field at Mile High following a Week 3 bye, when Charlotte travels to Denver for the Sunday, May 3rd matchup.
Denver hits the road again in Week 5 for a game at Rochester on Saturday, May 9 for a rematch of the 2014 MLL Championship, which Denver won 12-11 behind a six-goal fourth-quarter effort.
The Outlaws host the Chesapeake Bayhawks the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, marking the first time since 2010 that Denver has hosted a home game during the holiday weekend.
Major League Lacrosse will break for the All Star Game on Saturday, June 13. When Denver returns for the last portion of the season, it will host four of the last six games of the regular season with the Rattlers, Cannons, Launch and Lizards all travelling to Denver.
Denver's Mile High Fourth of July, the club's 10th annual Independence Day celebration game, will be against the Cannons for the second consecutive season. A total of 219,234 fans have watched the Outlaws' fireworks game with the team amassing a 6-3 record in those contests. Nine of these games have broken MLL attendance records.
The Outlaws close out the regular season hosting the New York Lizards on Saturday, July 25. MLL Semifinals are slated for Sunday, July 19 with the MLL Championship again taking place in Atlanta, schedule for Saturday, Aug. 8.
