Ohio Machine News Release
COLUMBUS, OHIO (December 18, 2014) - The Ohio Machine, Ohio's Major League Lacrosse team, announced today the release of its 2015 season schedule. The Machine begins play on April 12 when the team travels to Long Island to take on the New York Lizards. The following week, the Machine returns to Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio on Sunday, April 19 when the team hosts the defending MLL Champion Denver Outlaws.
"We are very excited to open our season at home on April 19," Machine Vice President of Business Operations Gregg Klein said. "We have typically had our home opener in mid-May, so to be able to open at home in April provides us with a great opportunity to bring the excitement of our season to our fans in Ohio earlier than in our first three seasons."
After the team's home opener, the Machine has a bye week before hitting the road for two straight games. On May 3 the Machine takes on the Chesapeake Bayhawks and on May 9 squares off against the Florida Launch. On May 16 the Machine hosts the Charlotte Hounds at Selby Stadium, followed by a home game against the Launch on May 24. Another two game road trip awaits on May 29 and June 5 when the Machine faces the Outlaws and Hounds respectively.
On June 13, the best of the best will meet for the 2015 MLL All-Star Game. The Machine returns to action when the team hosts the Bayhawks on June 20 before a home-and-home series against the Rochester Rattlers on June 28 in Rochester and on July 4 in Ohio. The Machine closes out the regular season with a road game against the Boston Cannons on July 11 before returning home for games against the Lizards on July 18 and Cannons on July 25.
The Machine's 2015 schedule is highlighted with two 2-game home stands and two 2-game road trips. Additionally, the Machine returns to Selby Stadium on the Fourth of July, marking the second consecutive year the team has hosted a game on Independence Day. It is the third time in the club's four year history that the team has played on the Fourth of July.
Season tickets for the Machine's 2015 season are now on sale and range from General Admission at $92 to a Field Level Box at $2,400 and include seven regular season home games plus a 2015 MLL playoff game.
