For the third time in as many seasons of existence, the Canton Charge secured an NBA Development League playoff appearance! Owned and operated by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Charge are ready to make another post season run for a shot at the NBA D-League Championship with the support of their fantastic fan base and the city of Canton.

The Charge are guaranteed to host at least one game ("Game A") in the first round of the playoffs at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on a date to be announced, against a yet-to-be determined opponent. Game A at the Civic Center will be a "gold out" and features an exclusive playoff t-shirt giveaway for the first 1,500 fans in attendance.

The announcement of playoff seeding, game dates and matchups will be made by the NBA D-League office on Sunday, April 6 after league-wide regular season games are complete Saturday night. The selection process will see the top four seeds select in order who they will play out of a pool that includes the bottom four seeds. All playoff series are best-of-three, with the lower seed hosting the first game and the higher seed hosting the second and then third game if necessary.

The Canton Charge are exclusively operated by the Cleveland Cavaliers and also owned by a group led by Cavaliers Majority Owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert. The group also owns and operates the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League and the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League, both playing at Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
