2012 Individual Ticket Sales Kick-Off on November 5th

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will place their individual game tickets for the 2012 season on sale on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 AM at the Hadlock Field Box Office. Phone & internet orders will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 5th. The Sea Dogs will keep ticket prices the same for the fifth consecutive season making the Sea Dogs Maine's most affordable professional sports entertainment.

The Sea Dogs have scheduled several activities for fans at Hadlock Field on Saturday, November 5th to kick off the 2012 ticket sales. Slugger the Sea Dog will be available for photos by the Sea Dogs dugout from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. The Sea Dogs will have guided tours of the ballpark including the clubhouse, press box, skybox, field, and other areas at 10:30 AM and 11:15 AM. Additionally, the Sea Dogs are offering fans the opportunity to win Season Tickets! Fans may take five swings at Hadlock Field to try to hit a home run; hit a home run and win a Season Ticket for the 2012 season! Swing for Season Tickets is weather and field conditions permitting. Fans must register at the ballpark when they arrive to take part.

All fans who purchase tickets on Saturday at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office will receive a 20% off coupon for the Sea Dogs Souvenir Store good for Saturday only. The Sea Dogs will also provide coffee and donuts for fans.

Ticket prices will remain the same for the fifth consecutive season. Tickets are priced at $9.00 for Box seat tickets for adults, while seniors (62+) and children (16 and under) can have a Box seat for $8.00. Other seating options include Reserved seating, available at $8.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids and seniors. General Admission seats can be obtained at the economical price of $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids and seniors. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more.

The 2012 schedule once again promises to be filled with many fun and exciting promotions. Although the promotional schedule is not yet determined, the Sea Dogs will once again have a series of firework shows, bobblehead doll giveaways, theme nights, and bring back traveling acts like the ZOOperstars. The fan favorite "Field of Dreams" promotion will also continue in 2012. A complete promotional schedule will be announced at a later date.

Season Tickets for the 2012 season are currently on sale. Season Tickets range in price from $390.50 to $461.50 per seat and are available either on an annual basis or a three-year commitment. In addition to Season Tickets, the Sea Dogs are currently taking reservations for Skyboxes, Picnics, Birthday Parties, and other group outings.

The Ticket Office will be open 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 5th. After Saturday, November 5th, ticket office hours will be Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Souvenir Store is open Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday hours will be added starting November 27th to accommodate holiday shoppers.

In 2011 the Sea Dogs attracted 369,424 fans, an average of 5,514 fans per game. The Sea Dogs ranked fifth amongst the 12 team Eastern League attendance in 2011, seventh of 30 Double-A teams, and 38th out of 174 total Minor League baseball franchises. In 2011, the Boston Red Sox featured 25 former Sea Dogs on the roster including such stars as Josh Beckett, Clay Buchholz, Jacoby Ellsbury, Adrian Gonzalez, Jon Lester, Jonathan Papelbon, Dustin Pedroia, and Kevin Youkilis.

The Sea Dogs will open the 2012 season on the road with a 4:05 PM doubleheader in reading, Pennsylvania against the Reading Phillies. The home opener is slated for Thursday, April 12th at 6:00 PM against the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field. The 2012 season will be the Sea Dogs 19th year in Portland and tenth as a Boston Red Sox affiliate.
