2010 Spikes Single-Game Tickets On Sale Saturday At Noon

STATE COLLEGE - State College Spikes single-game tickets for the 2010 season will go on sale tomorrow (Saturday, December 12) beginning at Noon. The ticket on sale date will coincide with the Spikes' "Winter Wonderland Open House", which will be held from Noon to 3 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Fans can be the first to secure to the best seats to any of the Spikes' 38 New York-Penn League regular season home games in one of three ways:

. In person at the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Box Office Saturday from 12-3 and weekdays during regular business hours

. By phone at (814) 272-1711 or (877) 99-SPIKES Saturday from 12-3 and weekdays during regular business hours

. On-line at StateCollegeSpikes.com 24 hours a day seven days a week

Standard single-game ticket prices for the Spikes' 2010 season will remain at the same affordably-priced level as the 2009 season:

. Diamond Club (Sec. 101-109) $11

. Field Box (Sec. 201-204) $9

. Bullpen Box (Sec. 301-305) $7

. Outfield Bleachers (Sec. 401-402) $6

The Spikes fifth season of providing Central Pennsylvania's best summertime family value will open Saturday, June 19 at 7:05 p.m. against the rival Williamsport Crosscutters.

In lieu of admission to the "Winter Wonderland" event, fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to the Salvation Army of State College or a non-perishable food item to be donated to the State College Area Food Bank. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to register to run in the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Run/Walk which will be departing from Medlar Field at Lubrano Park at 1:30 p.m. All kids are invited to participate in the "Candy Lane Shuffle" run on the field at 2:30 p.m.

Gates will open at Noon to a bevy of fun holiday events, including behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark, activities in the indoor batting cages, interactive kids games, arts and crafts and visits from Ike the Spike, Nookie Monster, Bob the Baseball Dog and special guest Santa Claus. Members of the Penn State Baseball team will be on hand to meet and greet fans and sign autographs. Fans will also be treated to an assortment of light refreshments. "Off the Rack Outfitters", the official team merchandise store of the Spikes, will be open for holiday shopping and members of the Spikes front office will be on hand with information on all 2010 ticket packages, including season tickets, mini plans, flex books and group outings.
