2010 CHL All-Star Team Adds Tulsa Forward

January 5, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

(Tempe, Arizona) - The 2010 Central Hockey League All-Star Game is a little more than a week away scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in Laredo, Texas at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The game features a team of CHL All-Stars facing a South Texas All-Star Team (comprised of members of the Laredo Bucks, Corpus Christi IceRays and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees).

Today, the CHL announced that forward T.J. Caig of the Tulsa Oilers has been named as a replacement for teammate Rob Hisey who will be unable to attend. Hisey was voted as a starter for the CHL All-Star Team but is currently called-up to the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Springfield Falcons.

Caig is second on the Oilers in scoring with 38 points (15-23=38) in 31 games and is a +2 on the season. His nine power play goals are the most in the CHL. The Kelowna, British Columbia native was named the Oakley CHL Player of the Week on November 16 and was also named the Oakley Three Star Player of the Month for November.

In a related note, Colorado Eagles forward Kevin Ulanski will replace Hisey on the CHL All-Star Team's starting line-up. The league's leading scorer with 48 points (18-30=48) will join fellow Eagles Riley Nelson (forward) and Aaron Schneekloth (defenseman) on the starting unit.
