2008 Sea Dogs Ticket Sales Begin Saturday

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the World Champion Boston Red Sox, will place their individual game tickets for the 2008 season on sale on Saturday, November 10th at 9:00 AM at the Hadlock Field Box Office. Phone & internet orders will begin on Tuesday, November 13th at 9:00 AM. No phone orders will be accepted on Saturday, November 10th. In addition, the Sea Dogs will host their first ever yard sale Saturday.

The Sea Dogs yard sale will consist of bobbleheads, various minor league and major league media guides, old Jerseys, various giveaway items, signed baseballs, photos, and much more.

The Portland Sea Dogs have installed a new ticket system, Ticket Return, for the 2008 season. Fans who ordered tickets online at www.seadogs.com will see the biggest impact of the new system as fans will now be able to select their own seat location and print tickets off at home.

Individual game tickets for the 2008 season are priced at $9.00 for Box seat tickets for adults, while seniors (62+) and children (16 and under) can have a box seat for $8.00. Other seating options include Reserved seating, available at $8.00 for adults and $7.00 for kids and seniors. General Admission seats can be obtained at the economical price of $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids and seniors. Group rates are available for groups of 20 or more.

Last season was another record breaking attendance year for the Portland Sea Dogs as the organization averaged a franchise record 6,483 fans per game. It was the fifth straight year the Sea Dogs have hit an attendance record. The Sea Dogs ranked 30th in attendance out of 176 minor league teams, fifth out of 30 Double-A teams, and second out of the 12 Eastern League teams in attendance in 2007 and record 24 sell outs at Hadlock Field. In addition, seven former Sea Dogs were on The Red Sox World Championship roster including Josh Beckett, Manny Delcarmen, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jon Lester, Jonathan Papelbon, Dustin Pedroia, and Kevin Youkilis. In addition 2007 Sea Dog Clay Buchholz tossed a no-hitter in his second big league start.

Back by popular demand in 2008 are the Sea Dogs Five-Game Ticket Packages. Eight different packages will be available combining some of the hottest dates on the Sea Dogs schedule in 2008. These packages will guarantee you the same great Reserved Seat for all games within the package. Please contact the Sea Dogs for a complete list of available packages or log on to www.seadogs.com.

The Sea Dogs 2008 Promotional Schedule continues to grow by the day. Promotions that are already finalized for the 2008 season include five Fireworks shows (April 25th, May 9th, June 19th, July 4th, and August 28th), the fan favorite Field of Dreams promotion (August 31), and several of the travel acts including the ZOOperstars (April 22nd, July 23rd, and August 26th), Skyy Dogs USA (June 18th), and Christopher (June 3rd and August 13th). Additionally their will be a minimum of three bobblehead doll giveaways, dates and personalities will be announced on Friday, November 9th. Season Tickets for the 2008 season are currently on sale. Season Tickets range in price from $390.50 to $461.50 per seat and are available either on an annual basis or a three-year commitment. In addition to Season Tickets, the Sea Dogs are currently taking reservations for Skyboxes, Picnics, Birthday Parties, and Kids Club Memberships.

The Ticket Office will be open 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 10th.

The Sea Dogs open the 2008 season on Thursday, April 3rd at New Britain. The home opener is slated for Friday, April 11th against the New Britain Rock Cats at 6:00 PM.
