2008 CFL Most Outstanding Lineman Scott Flory Signs for Three Years

Montreal, Dec. 17, 2008 - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp is pleased to announce that 2008 CFL Most Outstanding Lineman Scott Flory has signed a new two-year contract plus an option with the team.

"We're proud of what we accomplished last season," Flory said. "I'm very excited to continue building on what we started. The team's spirit is at its best, the players are motivated and everyone is pulling in the same direction. The future is very promising."

The 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2008 East Division Most Outstanding Lineman, Flory (6'4'', 296 lbs.) has long been the leader of Montreal's offensive line. A six-time CFL All-Star (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008), he has been named an East Division All-Star seven times, in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

In 2008, the Alouettes' offensive line had its best season since the team re-joined the CFL in 1996, allowing just 22 sacks and helping set a franchise record with 610 points scored.
