2007 Rox Schedule Announced

BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox announced their 2007 Can-Am League schedule today. The 94-game schedule includes 52 regular season home games, up from 46 in 2006. The Can-Am League has expanded from eight to ten teams for 2007, with the addition of the Atlantic City Surf and the creation of a traveling team, the Grays.

"We're tremendously excited to start our 6th season in Brockton this coming May," said Rox principal owner Van Schley, "We came up one game short of our goal to bring another championship to Brockton this year. Getting the schedule is a first step toward building another contender in 2007."

The Rox open the 2006 season at home against the New Haven County Cutters on Friday, May 25th, the start of a three-game Memorial Day Weekend homestand. Rox fans will get to know the 2007 team quickly, as 19 of the team's first 24 games will be played at Campanelli Stadium.

The first half will conclude at home against the North Shore Spirit on Saturday, July 14th. The Rox play their final home game of the year at Campanelli Stadium against the Grays on August 26th before concluding the season with a seven-game road trip to New Haven and Atlantic City, ending on Monday, September 3rd.

The home schedule is weighted toward weekends, with 27 of the team's 52 home games falling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. These weekend dates will include nine Friday Night Fireworks shows, beginning with Opening Night on May 25th, and nine Sunday Family Fun Days. A full promotional calendar will be announced at a later date.
