2002 NBDL Draft Gives Greenville Groove A Talented Training Camp Roster

Greenville, SC – The 2002 Fourteen Round NBDL Draft was held Thursday, October 31st. Defending league champion, the Greenville Groove selected fourteen athletes from the two and one-half hour event.

Groove draft headquarters were set up in the Conference Room at the BILO Center in Downtown Greenville. ScheerSports Chairman and CEO, Carl Scheer, Head Coach Tree Rollins, Assistant Coach Stephanie Ready, and Groove General Manager Byron Rucker were all present for the affair.

Each NBDL team selected 14 athletes form the 112-player draft pool. All eight teams will begin training camp this weekend with 25 players. First cuts will be made by 5 pm on November 6th. By November 14th, each team will have a 10-man team, which must be maintained throughout the season.
