1st Round, 24th Overall - McCann Selected by Canucks

After months of rankings and speculation the moment JARED MCCANN, his family, teammates and our organization has been waiting for became reality. The Soo Greyhounds centreman was selected 24th overall by the Vancouver Canucks at the NHL Entry Draft from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earlier tonight.

The former 1st round selection of the Hounds (McCann) is coming off his 2nd season with the club. In 64 regular season games in 2013-14 he had 27 goals and 35 assists, for 62 points and a +9 rating. He added 7 more points (2g, 5a) in nine post-season contests.

The 18-year old London, ON product was a member of Team Canada at the 2014 World U18 Championship, claiming bronze.
