14 Loggers Selected in 2012 MLB Draft

LA CROSSE, WI - The La Crosse Loggers baseball club witnessed fourteen former and/or current players taken in the 2012 Major League Baseball first-year player draft that was conducted over the previous three days. With the 18 former players taken in 2011, the tenth-year franchise has now seen 32 former and/or current players selected in the past two years.

Headlining this year's list of Logger draftees was a right-handed hurler from the 2010 club, Dan Langfield (Memphis), who was selected in the third round by the Cincinnati Reds. The Lumbermen saw four more former players taken in the top ten rounds including Seth Mejias-Brean (Arizona), Rowan Wick (St. John's), Jordan Guth (UW-Milwaukee) and Trevor Brown (UCLA).

One current Logger was selected as well as right-handed pitcher Nick Pascuale (Diablo Valley CC) was taken in the 20th Round by the Cleveland Indians.
