Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club is proud to recognize 11 alumni who have earned roster spots with National Hockey League clubs ahead of the 2022-23 regular season.
The Winterhawks boast the most alumni on NHL Opening Night rosters of any U.S. Division team and the second-most among WHL clubs, trailing only the Kelowna Rockets with 14.
Of Portland's 11 NHL opening night alumni, eight were first-round selections and all were taken within the first 100 picks of their respective NHL Entry Drafts.

Hill and the Golden Knights begin their season tonight against the Los Angeles Kings, while Bjorkstrand (SEA), Jarvis (CAR), Seth Jones (CHI) and Caleb Jones (CHI) kick off their campaigns on Wednesday.
Glass, Johansen and Niederreiter have already wrapped up two regular-season games with Nashville during the NHL Global Series, and will feature in the Predators' home opener on Thursday night.
Bellows (NYI), Dumba (MIN) and Jokiharju (BUF) are also set to make their 2022-23 debuts on Thursday.
