Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze has been assigned former Spokane Shock WR Shaun Kauleinamoku, the team announced today. The signing adds intrigue to an already heated rivalry, as the Blaze prepares to take on the Shock this Friday at home.
"We are excited to sign Shaun," said Blaze President & Head Coach Ron James. "He is a speedy, talented wide receiver who is very familiar with our offensive system. We feel fortunate to find a player of his caliber available at this point of the season, and are anxious to see him in a Blaze uniform."
Kauleinamoku (5-10, 185, Western Oregon) played in one game this season with the San Antonio Talons, accumulating 45 yards on four kickoff returns and five yards on one reception. Prior to his arrival in San Antonio, Kauleinamoku spent two seasons with Spokane, where he won an ArenaBowl Championship in 2010 while playing under current Blaze Offensive Coordinator Matthew Sauk.
