AFL Week 9 Power Rankings Announced

CHICAGO - The Philadelphia Soul sit atop the AFL Power Rankings again this week after starting the season with an AFL record seven consecutive 60-point performances.
The 6-1 Soul are followed in the rankings by the 5-2 San Jose SaberCats. The SaberCats posted 42 unanswered points against Iowa in Week 8, holding the Barnstormers scoreless in the second half. The 76-33 victory marked the worst home loss in Iowa's franchise history, but it was enough to boost the SaberCats up two spots to number two in the AFL Power Rankings.
Clinging to the number three spot are the Utah Blaze. The Blaze found a way to pull it out against Milwaukee in Week 8, coming away with a three-point victory over the Mustangs.
The Arizona Rattlers moved up one spot to number four in the AFL Power Rankings after an impressive 60-27 victory over the Georgia Force. The Rattlers and SaberCats square off in Week 9 in a rivalry matchup that could have significant playoff implications.
Coming in at number five this week in the AFL Power Rankings are the San Antonio Talons. The Talons jumped up five spots with a 56-55 victory over last week's second-ranked Chicago Rush, who dropped to the six spot following the loss.
The AFL Power Rankings are calculated on AFLFieldPass.com using vPower(tm), a scoring system based on winning percentage, strength of schedule, scoring percentage, and win-streak. The scale is normalized from 0 (lowest) to 100 (highest).
