Arizona Rattlers Sign Former NFL RB Taylor / IFL Veteran QB Williams

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced today that they have signed running back LaVance Taylor and quarterback Quentin Williams for the Rattlers inaugural season in the Indoor Football League (IFL).
Taylor (5-11, 205, Central Missouri) enters the 2017 IFL season as a rookie. Prior to joining the Rattlers, Taylor spent part of the 2015 preseason with the National Football League's (NFL) Kansas City Chiefs. After leaving the Chiefs, Taylor spent the first part of 2016 with the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Ottawa Redblacks.
Taylor attended the University of Central Missouri where he set the school single-season rushing and all-purpose yards records, and earned several All-American honors.
The Raytown, Missouri native attended Raytown High School where he played both running back and defensive back for the Bluejays. He earned first-team all-conference at running back his senior season after breaking the school record for rushing yards.
Williams (6-0, 195, Bethune-Cookman) is in his second IFL season and brings an electric, dual threat style to the Rattlers offense. Williams spent some time with the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Prior to his time with the Blue Bombers, Williams spent much of the 2015 season with the Arena Football League's (AFL) Tampa Bay Storm.
Williams attended Bethune-Cookman where he threw for 6,040 yards and 42 touchdowns. His senior season he amassed 2,171 yards passing and 19 touchdowns.
The Tampa, Florida native attended Thomas Jefferson Senior High, where he was selected as Florida's "Mister Football" in 2010, which is given to the top high school player in the state.
