Samson Inducted into the American Association Hall of Fame
July 1, 2026 - SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Former Sioux City Explorer Nate Samson has been selected for induction into the American Association of Professional Baseball Hall of Fame, joining the Class of 2026 and cementing his place among the league's all-time greats. Samson joins Fargo-Moorhead Manager Chris Coste and Lincoln Saltdogs owner Jim Abel in this year's class.

July 1, 2026 - WALDORF, MD - Southern Maryland Blue Crabs infielder Viandel Pena had his contract purchased by the Detroit Tigers in a deal that was announced today.
Pena is the sixth member of the 2026 Blue Crabs to have his contract purchased by an affiliated organization and he is the first player in franchise history to go directly to the Tigers organization. The six contracts purchased by an MLB team are the most in a season since seven players were signed in 2018.

Mud Monsters Pitching Gets Boost with Signing of Walsh, Return of Sanchez
July 1, 2026 - PEARL, Miss. - The Mississippi Mud Monsters have announced the signing and activation of left-handed pitcher John Walsh. In the same announcement, right-handed pitcher and 2025 All-Star Sergio Sanchez has been activated after spending the entire 2026 season on the Inactive List.
Sanchez, a native of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, returns as the Mud Monsters' all-time saves leader after recording 14 saves during the club's inaugural 2025 campaign.

July 1, 2026 - The Grand Junction Razorback Suckers defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 20-9 on June 30, 2026.
Santa Fe opened the scoring with a run in the first inning, but Grand Junction answered with a six- run second inning and later broke the game open with three runs in the fifth, five in the sixth, four in the seventh, and two more in the eighth.
