Wild Things Sign Former UNC Slugger Hunter Stokely to First Pro Deal
January 16, 2026 - WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Washington Wild Things have signed former North Carolina slugger Hunter Stokely, a 2025 All-ACC First Team selection with the Tar Heels.
Stokely's All-ACC honor was his first career All-Conference award, and he was also ACC Player of the Week in 2025 as well, after a ridiculous six-game stretch of .524/.621/1.143 while racking up 11 hits, 11 RBI, 10 runs and 24 total bases. January 16, 2026 - LINCOLN, NE - The Lincoln Saltdogs have announced Paul Myro and Sam Linscott have signed for the 2026 season.
Paul Myro, a 5'9", 173-pound infielder, comes to Lincoln after playing for the Boise Hawks, in the Pioneer League, in 2025. In 84 games, Myro batted .345 with two home runs and 72 runs batted in. A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, the 24-year-old Myro began his collegiate career in Oregon State, before playing his final three seasons at University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Right-Hander Charnin Headed to Sioux City
January 16, 2026 - SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Sioux City Explorers have announced that the team has signed true rookie right-handed pitcher Max Charnin out of Florida Memorial University (Miami Gardens, Florida) for the 2026 season. Charnin is the 15th player added this offseason for the Explorers and Manager Steve Montgomery.

January 16, 2026 - KINSTON, North Carolina - The Down East Bird Dawgs continue their offseason player spotlight series with a closer look at OF Cole Hill, UTIL Yeniel Laboy, and OF Ali LaPread after exercising their contract options for the 2026 season.
Each position player contributed to the Bird Dawgs during the 2025 campaign and will return to Down East as the club prepares for its second season.
