WINDSOR, ON - The Windsor Express won a double-overtime thriller over the Summerside Storm in game four of their NBL Canada semifinal series at the WFCU Centre, 124-122, March 30.
Darren Duncan led the Windsor Express in all offensive categories, scoring 27 points, securing 16 rebounds and dishing out 13 assists. Duncan scored Windsor's final five points in double-OT to tie the series at two games a piece and send the series back to Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, April 2 for the fifth and deciding game.
Eddie Smith scored 25 points off of the bench for the Express and helped them battle back from multiple deficits in the fourth quarter and in both overtimes.
Stefan Bonneau scored 20 points and included a highlight-reel dunk in the fourth quarter and hit a three-pointer in the final seconds to tie the game at 100 and send it to overtime.
Greg Surmacz scored 15 points, Mike Helms scored 14 points and Chris Commons rounded out the scoring with 12 points. All were key contributors at one time or another for Windsor during the marathon game with Summerside.
Antwan Tisby scored a game-high 28 points for the Storm, including a put-back in the dying seconds of the first overtime to tie the game at 112 after Duncan had hit a three-pointer only seconds earlier to take the lead.
