October 6, 2015 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Spokane Shock News Release
SPOKANE, Washington (October 6, 2015) - The Shock announced their 2016 IFL regular season schedule this week.
Spokane will open the season by hosting their renewed in-state rival in the Tri-Cities Fever on Saturday, February 27 with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff. After a Week 2 bye, the Shock will face off against their second West Division opponent with a road game against the Billings Wolves.
In the first eight weeks of the season, the Shock will visit each of the 2015 United Bowl participants in the Nebraska Danger (Week 5) and Sioux Falls Storm (Week 8).
The Iowa Barnstormers will visit Spokane Arena on Friday, April 1 (Week 6), a rivalry many Shock fans were familiar with, as the two franchise met six times from 2010-2014 while playing in the Arena Football League. The following weekend on Saturday, April 9, Spokane will host the Colorado Crush.
At the mid-way point of the season, Spokane will host their fellow IFL expansion partner in the Minnesota Havok on Friday, April 29 and then welcome the Billings Wolves to town on Saturday, May 7 for the final double-header home stand of the season.
After a road game against Colorado in Week 12, the Shock will finish out the regular season with six-straight conference games against Tri-Cities, Billings, and Wichita Falls.
