Titans 2016 Schedule Released

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA: It's been a busy off season for the Indoor Football League with the addition of the Minnesota Havok based in Mankato, MN and the Spokane Shock coming over from the Arena Football League. It was also announced in August that the Cedar Rapids Titans will play nine home games in 2016. On Tuesday the Indoor Football League announced the 2016 IFL schedule.

The Titans will kick off their fifth IFL season on Friday, February 12, 2016 as they host in state rival, the Iowa Barnstormers in the team's opening night game at the US Cellular Center. On March 4th the Titans host the Intense Conference Champions, the Nebraska Danger. The following week the Titans take their first road trip of the season to the Pacific Northwest as they take on the Tri Cities Fever. Following a bye week the Titans return home to take on division rival, the Green Bay Blizzard on March 26th and then the defending United Bowl Champions, the Sioux Falls Storm on April 2nd also at Mediacom Field. The Titans then hit the road to take on one of the IFL's newest teams, the Minnesota Havok on April 10th. Following the road trip, the Titans return home for back-to-back home games against the Billings Wolves, and the Minnesota Axemen on April 16th and 23rd, respectively. Rounding out the month of April the Titans make a trip to Sioux Falls on April 30th.

The Tri Cities Fever visit Mediacom Field on May 7th for a rematch to open up the month of May. The Titans then travel to Green Bay, WI on May 13th to take on the Green Bay Blizzard. On May 21st the Barnstormers make their second visit of the season to Cedar Rapids. Following the home game against the Barnstormers, the Titans hit the road for matchups with the Minnesota Axemen and the Wichita Falls Nighthawks on May 27th and June 4th respectively. June 11th marks the Titans home finale as they take on the Minnesota Havok at Mediacom Field. The Titans conclude the 2016 season on the road facing the Havok on June 18th and ending the regular season in Des Moines taking on the Barnstormers on June 25th.

All 2016 Titans home games take place at Mediacom Field inside the US Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids. Season tickets for the 2016 season are now available. A free parking pass courtesy of Park Cedar Rapids is included in all season ticket packages.
