Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced Wednesday that they have signed quarterback Aaron Aiken, offensive lineman DeShawn Byrd, defensive lineman Edward Mosley, offensive linemen Keyun Swinney, and running back DeJaun Wright for the team's inaugural season in the Indoor Football League (IFL).

Aiken (6-5, 235, Coastal Carolina) earned All-Patriot League Academic Team honors four times for the Georgetown Hoyas. After graduating with a degree in psychology, Aiken transferred to Coastal Carolina for his final year of eligibility.

The Morristown, New Jersey native attended The Lawrenceville School and Morristown High School where he was named second team All-New Jersey Prep as a senior and was an honorable mention All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League. Aiken also played basketball and ran track.

Byrd (6-5, 320, Tennessee State) attended Tennessee State where he was a two-year starter for the Tigers. Prior to transferring to Tennessee State, Byrd also attended Grand Rapids Community College where he earned MFC East All-Region and First Team All-MFC honors.

The Dayton, Mich., native attended Trotwood-Madison High School where he was given all-conference recognition for his senior season while leading Trotwood-Madison to the regional finals of the playoffs. Byrd also lettered in track.

Mosley (6-3, 260, Alabama State) was a two-time Second-Team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference selection at Alabama State (FCS). As a senior, he posted 28 total tackles, 10.5 for a loss, with six sacks, and four quarterback hurries. Mosley finished his collegiate career with 15 sacks and 25 tackles for loss.

The Atlanta, Georgia native was granted membership to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society in 2015, and was a finalist in 2014 for the William V. Campbell Trophy which recognizes the best football scholar-athletes in the nation.

Swinney (6-4, 340, Alcorn State) began his collegiate career at Jackson State where he was given Second Team Preseason All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors in 2011. Swinney ended up transferring to Alcorn State for his final year of collegiate eligibility.

The Jackson, Mississippi native played both offensive line and defensive line for the Forest Hill High School Patriots.

Wright (5-10, 190, Wisconsin - Stevens Point) earned Second Team All-WIAC in his senior season for the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and ranked third in WIAC in rushing with 76.5 yards per game. He also returned kickoffs for the Pointers.

The St. Petersburg, Florida native attended Keswick Christian High School, where he set a school record for carries in a game.
