PORTLAND, Maine - - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, announce that the team has acquired Damonte Dodd from the available player pool.
Dodd (6-11, 249 pounds) is a product of Maryland, averaging 6.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 26 games in his senior campaign, last season. The 23-year-old started the season with Northern Arizona of the NBA G League before getting waived.
To make room for Dodd on the roster, the Red Claws waived DeAndre Daniels. The Red Claws' roster stands at the maximum of ten players, plus two players on Two-Way NBA Contracts from the Boston Celtics.
The Red Claws return to action Friday night at Grand Rapids. The Red Claws return to the Expo on Dec. 31 for the annual New Year's Eve matinee against Lakeland. Limited tickets are available by calling 207-210-6655 or visiting MaineRedClaws.com.
