CHATTANOOGA, Ten. - The Biscuits (26-24) went behind early and never recovered in their series finale against the Chattanooga Lookouts (28-22), falling for the fourth time in five tries against their North Division rivals, 9-2, on Sunday night at AT&T Field.

Tyler Brashears (1-1) made his sixth starter of the season for Montgomery and churned out his worst outing of the season, serving up eight runs on eight hits with two walks and two strikeouts in just 2.2 innings. It was a 0-0 game until the second when Dan Gamache doubled home Travis Harrison to make it 1-0, Lookouts.

Later in the inning, Kevin Garcia would knock in a run on a groundout to double the Chattanooga lead, and then Levi Michael would punch in a pair with a two-run single as the Lookouts sent nine batters to the plate in the second.

Chattanooga would put up another four-spot in the third thanks to a Dan Rohlfing RBI-single and a three-run home run off the bat of Ryan Walker to give the home team a commanding 8-0 lead. Starter Felix Jorge (5-1) tossed seven shutout innings for his fifth win of the season, and got a sac fly from TJ White in the sixth for the club's final run of the night.

The Biscuits would avoid the shutout, tacking on two runs in the eighth on a Cade Gotta RBI-groundout and a Nick Ciuffo RBI-single. This was the first series in 2017 that the Biscuits have lost more than three games.

Montgomery will have an off-day Monday, but will then welcome the first-place Tennessee Smokies to town for the start of a crucial five-game series beginning Tuesday at 7:05 PM.
