Legends Draft Four, Announce Training Camp Roster

FRISCO, TX, (Oct. 30, 2016)- The Texas Legends announced today they have selected four players in the 2016 NBA Development League Draft completing their 2016-17 training camp roster. Camp will begin Tuesday, Nov. 1 and will see 17 players competing for a spot on the team. The training camp roster consists of five returning players, four affiliate players, four local tryout invitees, and four draft picks.
Keith Hornsby (6-4, 210, LSU) was the 9th overall pick and the Legends' first selection in the Draft. After two years at UNC-Asheville, Hornsby transferred to LSU where he averaged 13.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 steals his senior year. The rookie guard played five games with the Dallas Mavericks this NBA preseason averaging 3.2 points, 1.4 rebounds in 9.7 minutes.
In the following rounds the Legends selected Uchechi Ogbonna from Daemen College, Bryson Fonville from Catholic University, and David Allen from Georgetown.
Five players on the roster also participated in the Dallas Mavericks 2016 training camp and eight have NBA experience.
