Lakeland Magic Claim Alan Anderson off Waivers, Release Kyle Randall

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, announced today that they have acquired NBA veteran Alan Anderson off waivers and subsequently waived Kyle Randall.

Anderson, a 6-6, 220-pound small forward, has appeared in 330 career NBA games (66 starts) for five different teams. He most recently appeared in 30 games for the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2016-17 season, averaging 2.9 ppg in 10.3 mpg. Originally undrafted in the 2005 NBA Draft out of Michigan State, Anderson averaged 7.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg, and 1.1 apg in his nine-year NBA career.

Anderson also has NBA G League experience, appearing in 44 career games (24 starts), averaging 18 ppg, 4.4 rpg, and 3.3 apg for the Tulsa 66ers, New Mexico Thunderbirds, and the Canton Charge. Anderson was drafted second overall in the 2010 Annual NBA Development League Draft by the New Mexico Thunderbirds.

Anderson will join the Magic at home for their matchup against the Raptors 905 later today.

Randall, a 6-1, 185-pound point guard out of Central Michigan University, was claimed off waivers earlier this season from the Memphis Hustle. Randall appeared in 24 games for the Magic, averaging 1.6 ppg and 1.0 apg in 8.6 mpg.
