INF Luis Marte Signed as minor-league free agent

PEARL, MS - The Atlanta Braves have announced the following roster moves that affect the Mississippi Braves roster prior to tonight's home series opener against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp at Trustmark Park. INF Luis Marte has been added to the M-Braves roster after being signed as a minor-league free agent and INF Cleuluis Rondon has been released from the Atlanta Braves organization.

Marte, 24, was batting .223 for Double-A Frisco with the Texas Rangers with six doubles, one home run, and six RBI over 31 games this season. He was released on May 18. The San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic native signed with the Rangers as an international free agent on Nov. 4, 2010.

Rondon, 24, was batting .120 with two doubles, one triple, and five RBI over 29 games this season for the M-Braves. Rondon was signed by the Braves as a minor-league free agent on November 29, 2017.

The Mississippi Braves active roster stands at 24 with 6 on the Disabled List.
