Carolina Cobras News Release

CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League announced today that wide receiver/linebacker Sir Mawn Wilson has been activated from the injured reserve list and will compete in this weekend's contest with the Eastern Division leading New York Dragons.

Wilson (6-2, 230, Syracuse) has appeared in 10 games in his first season with the Cobras. He currently stands fifth on the team with 19 pass receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown and ranks fourth with 22.0 tackles on defense.

The six-year veteran was placed on injured reserve list due to a neck and shoulder injury that he aggravated in the team's victory over the Philadelphia Soul on April 17. Due to the fact that he was sidelined during Carolina's bye week, Wilson was forced to miss only one game.

Carolina travels to the Big Apple to square off with the Dragons this Saturday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. (EST) at the Nassau Coliseum. After another road contest against the Philadelphia Soul, the Cobras return to the Queen City for the team's 2004 home finale against the Grand Rapids Rampage on May 22.

This season's final home contest will be highlighted by the annual Fan Appreciation Day in which all fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win hundreds of gifts and prize packages including vacation getaways, golf outings, spa treatments and much, much more.

Cobras' flex plans and group tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 877-4-COBRAS or visiting www.cobrasfootball.com. Individual game tickets are available at the Charlotte Coliseum box office or at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 704-522-6500.
