Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced the signing of defenseman Chad Dameworth. For roster purposes, Dameworth has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve.

Dameworth, 32, comes to Atlantic City with veteran credentials. The Marquette, MI native began the season with Kalamazoo of the United Hockey League, and registered 1 goal and 5 assists in 20 games before being placed on waivers on January 12. Dameworth joined the K-Wings last season after three productive years with the New Orleans Brass under current Bullies Vice President and General Manager Dan Belisle.

"I've had the pleasure of watching Chad grow both as a player and a leader over the years," said Belisle. "His tenacity on defense and leadership on the ice will bring a lot to our hockey club."

Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1994 NHL Supplemental Draft, Dameworth has 527 games to his credit over nine seasons of professional hockey. Included in that is 165 games spent between the American Hockey League and the International Hockey League. His best years came while playing with the Brass under Belisle from 1999-2002. During that stretch, Dameworth produced 1 goal and 27 assists in 179 games, with his best season offensively coming in 2001-02 when he tallied 12 assists.

For his career, Dameworth has 19 goals and 82 assists in 527 games split between 14 teams in the AHL, IHL, ECHL, and UHL.

The Bullies travel to Cincinnati to battle the Cyclones at 7:30PM on Saturday, January 24 and at 3PM on Sunday, January 25. Catch both games live on ESPN Radio 1450AM.

The Bullies commence their second-half home schedule at 7:05PM on Wednesday, January 28 against the first place Wheeling Nailers. Every Wednesday home game this season is a "Wild Wednesday" sponsored by Coors Light and Molson Canadian.
