JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Biloxi Shuckers right-hander Zack Brown allowed one hit in six shutout innings, before the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, wearing Words With Fans game board-themed jerseys and caps, rallied for four late runs, but Biloxi won, 6-4, in front of 3,502 on Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

After a two-hour, 34-minute rain delay, the Shuckers (12-11 second half, 53-40 overall) took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning against Jacksonville right-hander Robert Dugger (2-3). Center fielder Corey Ray hit a leadoff single and stole second base. With one out, Dugger walked first baseman Jake Gatewood and third baseman Lucas Erceg. Catcher Tyler Heineman hit a two-run single to right field, and right fielder Trent Grisham hit an RBI single to right field.

With a 3-0 lead, Brown (9-0) worked around two walks in the first inning and allowed Jacksonville (10-14, 38-54) to load the bases with two walks and a single by catcher Sharif Othman in the bottom of the second inning. Brown then struck out Dugger, left fielder Braxton Lee and center fielder Monte Harrison to escape without a run scoring. Brown retired 15 of the next 16 batters to finish six innings, allowing five walks with six strikeouts.

Dugger pitched perfect second and third innings but walked Grisham with one out in the fourth inning. Grisham stole second base and scored on Brown's single to right-center field for his first professional hit and RBI. Ray walked to lead off the fifth inning, and Erceg hit a two-run home run to right field to make it 6-0. Dugger lasted six innings, allowing six earned runs on five hits and four walks with six strikeouts. Right-hander Lukas Schiraldi pitched two scoreless innings, and right-hander Reilly Hovis pitched a scoreless ninth inning.

The Jumbo Shrimp reached the scoreboard against Biloxi right-hander Josh Uhen in the eighth inning, as Lee walked, second baseman Isan Diaz doubled, before a wild pitch and first baseman Eric Jagielo's RBI single scored runs. In the ninth inning, right-hander Nate Griep allowed a walk and three hits - including Diaz's two-run single - before stranding the tying runs on base for his 25th save. Biloxi's win forces the first series rubber match for Jacksonville at home this season.
